The 9-week course is structured into THREE BLOCKS and mixes theory and practise with emphasis on introducing students to different techniques so that the students themselves are able to develop their own methodology.
Techniques covered include: Stanislavski, (the founder of modern acting) Uta Hagen, Laban (a physical-based technique) and Meisner (how to relate to fellow actors and finding emotional truth), as well as vocal training, and physical theatre training with a Lecoq (physical theatre) base.
This course aims to be equal to a drama school foundation course crammed into nine weeks with two 3-hour evening sessions per week.
The 9 Week DSPC begins on November 24th 2009 and finishes on February 4th 2010.
Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
PLEASE NOTE:
Only ten students are admitted on the 9-week course in order to guarentee that each individual actor’s needs are addressed
